Description

EMI’s primary expertise is imaging and electromagnetic technologies and theory. Application areas include innovation in Communication, Imaging, Signal Processing, and Biomedical devices and methods

Areas of focus

  1. New imaging technologies and methods for information extraction from images (industrial, security and medical applications);

  2. Bioelectromagnetics/Biophotonics, from a fundamental “how does EM interact with tissue” viewpoint , as well as safety and new device design;

  3. Reconfigurable communications systems (smart antennas and fast networks including microwave photonics);

  4. Medical instrumentation.
