
Developments in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) have had a profound impact on the way we work, live and play. From games to movies, smart phones to home automation, healthcare to education, you can find ICT presence everywhere, and in ways you might not have even thought about.
ICT Connects @ UQ is an initiative of the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering (ITEE) at The University of Queensland (UQ), which aims to demonstrate the application of ICT in various walks of life. ICTConnects @ UQ is designed for secondary school students, and consists of a 90 minute session allowing the students to realize the diverse and interesting ICT connections in their daily lives. ICTConnects@UQ is an initiative of the Higher Education Equity Support Program at UQ designed to encourage female participation in ICT Studies, but all are welcome to participate.
