  • Bursary Program for the Queensland Power Engineering Industry

Power Engineering Alliance (PEA) Queensland offers a bursary program to students undertaking degree level studies at particular Queensland Universities in areas of engineering relevant to the power industry. The bursaries are available to full-time students undertaking a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree, or equivalent, at approved Queensland universities who are able to demonstrate continuing alignment with the power industry. The bursaries would be paid at a rate of $1,000 per year in the student's first year, $2,000 in their second and third years and $3,000 in their fourth year of study, subject to performance in previous years. Current commitments are for at least 9 new bursaries per year. UQ has been very successful in receiving bursaries to study power engineering programs. UQ students received seven bursaries out of 14 Queensland students awarded the bursaries in 2006 to support their studies in power engineering.  For further information: Please contact Prof. Tapan Saha (Email: saha@itee.uq.edu.au) or visit the weblink
